HERBSTMEISTER

December 13, 2008 by pulgaa

Eventually I got it…

**ERSTE, MER SIND ERSTE!**
The first time I couldn’t decide which title I should take, because there were so many possible ones. I could have taken “The Fight against the Leader” or “Ticino against Ostschwiiz” or “The Victory for Money”.At last it was “Herbstmeister”. We overwinter at the casual, nice, snowy first place of the Challenge League.

**LUGANO, LUGANO, DU A…**
The game against the leader was a hard game. You know, it was a fight. It was Monday evening, I went to the AFG to watch it and I found out, that this is the real hardest opponent of the whole Challenge League. But they provoked us and there the fun ends. I hate you. I still hate you, Ticino! Hate you for all you’ve done, for every game, for the barrage, for Bellinzona, for your language, for Lugano, for you language and for your damn Italian flag in the curve.

**SG ALLEZ, SG ALLEZ…**
SG has a real problem that is the money. We have too little money and once there was a number in the region: 1,5 millions needs the club until the December. I think they got it, they always get it from somewhere. But still it’s a big problem. We have to delegate to the first Swiss league, otherwise we could go bankrupt. So SG, ALLEZ! We wanna stay alive!

**ESPEMOOS, ESPEMOOS…**
The fans do everything for the club now, you feel them behind the club more than ever. We aren’t in the Super League, but there are so many fans in the new stadium. Against the leader there were 17’283 supporters. As contrast: 7800 were in the game Zurich – Sion of the Super League. (Zurich-Sion was the game of the last round had the most supporters of all Super League) We more than doubled them. And even now we still sing for our old stadium, when the number of supporters reaches us. R.I.P Espenmoos! Still the money is missing.

**FORTE, ULI FORTE!**
Further we have an excellent coach, I have to say it once more. He is a magician. I love him so much when we shout his name and he comes nearer.. and then he takes a little FCSG scarf from his coat, holds it high and then bows before us. He is brilliant, a man with discipline, a man you have respect for.

**KOUBSKYKOUBSKYKOUBSKY**
He’s fit again!!! Little, big, big big Koubsky is back! We all love him! He’s the world’s greatest! XP No…serious…no joke, he really is!

**AUF GEHT’S ESPEN, KÄMPFEN UND SIEGEN!**
But the game against Lugano had something bad, too. It was the first time since 629 Challenge League minutes played in the AFG Arena that Dani Lopar, our goalie, got beat. The first time someone shot a goal against us. But still we never lost here. The AFG Arena is our new home.

Greeetzz for this time

Boca emerged from their problems and beat River!

October 22, 2008 by pepexe

As the poem said. Let the brothers be united!!!!

While River spent two calm weeks training with ALL their players (except just one that was called to play for Colombia team), Boca inner problems had the team ON FIRE! Plus Boca had many players called to play for their National Teams.

First, Caranta issue. Second, Caceres issue with Riquelme.

And the Super Clasico awaiting!

There was a third event. Luciano Figueroa joined the team. Figueroa was allowed to join the team in the middle of the tournament because Martin Palermo injury was so severe that the rules allow any team with an injured player out for more than 6 month to bring a new player to their squad.

Figueroa played in River last year! But he suffered the very same injure that Palermo suffered in his knee. But River just “thrown him away”. They forgot about him. So he was in anger with River for that. So he was very enthusiastic about coming to Boca and having revenge!! He was on the bench but was not sent in to play this time.

Now, the match. The first half was very disappointing. Boca young goalkeeper Garcia was doing fine but conceded to many dangerous rebounds. River attacked more than Boca

Riquelme was playing bad. Missing many passes.

Second half started. Ten minutes after, Boca’s defender Ibarra was shown the RED CARD because he was furiously demanding a “throw in” mistaken… Bad bad bad for Boca. Ibarra is old enough to not play like a child like he did in this one.

Bad moment for Boca. But… all of the sudden, Riquelme’s free kick to the box is headed by young Viatri (striker replacing Palermo) and.. GOAL!!!!!!!!

River 0-1 Boca !!!!!! Great!! Scoring with just 10 players!!

After that, it was all about controlling the ball. And the TRUE RIQUELME appeared, managing the match AT WILL!!!

So, despite our faults, Boca IS A COMPLETE TEAM. It is almost a FAMILY!!! The team has problems, but they know how to go on and go on!! :D

Finally, all the players hugged together… Riquelme found Caceres and ended hugging him… Game Over!! I hope Issues Over too!!!

Switzerland In Qualifications – Way to South Africa

October 18, 2008 by pulgaa

The match in St.Gallen against Lettland was the „game of the last chance“. If they wouldn’t have won – Goodbye South Africa!

It was a fight and you could feel the nervousness that every player carried inside after the Luxemburg-crash. Fortunately there was Frei and I think alone his appearance was a calming down factor. He and the team didn’t give up after a 1:1 just a few minutes after the leading.

The target of the team of Ottmar Hitzfeld was a victory against Lettland and at least one point against Greece. The Greeks started furious in the qualifications: 3 victories, goal difference 8:0. Could we, the weak team of Switzerland, stop them?

Well, I must confess I was nervous before the game. Not as nervous as on the Lettland game, but still enough nervous that I saw my fingers trembling. The game against Luxemburg was no comparison though. I knew they would lose then because I had such a bad feeling about them.

But back to the game. Switzerland played very well at the beginning, they pressured Greece to defend. As long as the Greek weren’t in the near of the Swiss box, they couldn’t get dangerous. Then there was a hands penalty the ref didn’t whistle. But the Swiss didn’t complain, they concentrated themselves to the general things: their own effort.

Still I was nervous. The thing that they played well made me think about the Euro against the Czech Republic or even Turkey. They played well and lost.

I’m writing right now while excited watching the game.

After the 20th minute and the first chance for Greece by freekick was through, the Greeks played better. By the 33rd minute they change the game and now Greece is better than Switzerland and we have to tremble.

Barnetta is out because of a bursitis (in German Schleimbeutelentzündung^^) that wasn’t totally healed and my teeth hurt. No joke, there was a misunderstanding between two defenders and there was an excellent chance for the Greek – I bit in my notice book. Now my teeth hurt^^. But Benaglio was there and it’s still 0:0.

I wait impatiently for the break whistling. It’s the 37th minute and if the game endures any longer, we are going to lose…PENALTY! In the 42nd min. My heart is rushing.

Valon Behrami was “cut to the ground”. Alex Frei sets the ball and shoots…GOAL FOR SWITZERLAND!

I can’t believe it. And now my teeth are definitely dying.

Oh damn, that game is so important. Israel and Lettland – wait….Latvia! – tied the match today 1:1, that’s good for us, but what if Switzerland can’t use that result for its own? I doubt and hope to the same time.

One more free kick before the break for the opponent…defended.

Break. Time to cool down. *up to 30 minutes later*

Now – the 60th minute – the game begins to become an open battle. Both teams have great chances. One mistake and we get a goal against us, one mistake of them it could be 2:0.

Still a half an hour and I can’t let the clock be out of my view…

And there it is! Karisteas (don’t know how the fuck I should write his name (I looked it up. Charisteas)) 1:1. The always bigger growing pressure of Greece is rewarded.

How do the both team react now?

My personal problem: How do my teeth react?

I take my Mp3 player and try to cool down with some music.

Alex Frei goes out, Haki Yakin comes.

What is a good game for, when you lose in the end – right now I got almost tears in my eyes: world class pass of Hakan to N’Kufo through three Greek. N’Kufo runs and runs…dribbles out the keeper…GOAL! 77th minute.

N’Kufo, exactly! He’s the one I grant the goal most. He plays in the Netherlands, shoots goal after goal there, top scorer, everything’s okay. Here in the national team he didn’t feel well a pretty long time. He couldn’t score, wasn’t good. Now he is better, you feel that.. And suddenly there are the goals!

The Greeks were playing more silent after the 1:1. Could they come back with the tempo now to run after the draw again?

By the way: Moldavia and Luxemburg tied as well. So Switzerland could be the big winner of the Spieltag. But there are still those ten minutes. I hate the last ten minutes of a football game. In the last time there were just too many last-goal-disappointments. The ame against Israel, Turkey in Euro, with the FCSG, just too many, you know.

In the last minute there was just Benaglio and he held a difficult head ball secure.

As soon as he lay down there the ball in hands like it would be his wonder. I knew it would be over now.

Switzerland beats Greece in Piräus 2:1. I thank you so damn much!

Ps: 4 games, 4 victories, 13:0 goal difference. That’s the home balance of SG this season. It sounds wonderful! And we have a great coach! He was a good discipline! Costanzo played the last game not from the beginning, because he was angry because of an exchange of him. Ze Vitor didn’t play the whole match because of that reason. It’s a good coach. Thank you Uli Forte!

Boca Juniors, a Cabaret once again!

October 17, 2008 by pepexe

Crossing words in Boca Juniors again! The bomb blew up!

First, the goalkeeper Caranta didnt want to play in the first team because his daughter told him “Hey daddy! They make fun of me in school because you allow too many goals!”

Then goalkeeper had to give up his position in Boca’s goal… The scandal was begining…

Boca’s defender paraguayan Caceres speaked shit about Juan Roman Riquelme! When Roman took notice, he was astonish about the shit he had to hear!!

Caceres told the truth. Riquelme is not very social. And although he can have bad days, he is still in the team. Why does the coach do not put him aside??? Because Riquelme has power.

Many players might think that… but they do not dare to say it INSIDE!

It was a mistake to go out and tell the press this thoughts Caceres had.

Now the team is arguing. The next match is against all time rivals River Plate!!

So, a victory could mean the team is SOLID as a ROCK…

A lost could mean the team was broken into pieces by inner issues…

Now is time to be strong.

Good-bye Coco Basile!

October 17, 2008 by pepexe

As Argentina team is full of stars but empty of football, Argentine coach leaves the charge because he is tired of doing.. NOTHING!! So.. good bye!!!

After an awfull 2008 for Argentina, we hope a new fresh man will take command of this team full of stars and make this sky SHINE!!!

We can name Checho Batista, the one who played with Maradona in 1986 and got the gold medal this year! He is the most suitable option…

But the crowd chaints for Carlos Bianchi once again!! The man that won EVERYTHING with Boca Juniors this millennium!! Would he take the charge??? Difficult… because he is in anger with actual AFA president.

So we have to wait and see…

Argentina National Football… team?

September 7, 2008 by pepexe

A brief review of the last months.

Argentina is now TWICE GOLD MEDALIST in football! And has broken a record that Hungary had. Argentina has won 12 consecutive olympic matches! Six in Athens and six in Beijing! Sub 20 coach “Checho” Batista (1986 champion along with Maradona) took command of this olympic team. He knows how to treat great sportmen like Riquelme and Messi as well as little known ones.

A big contribution left this olympic team! Angel Di Maria emerged from this team and earned a citation for the first team!

Today I was in the stadium watching Argentina vs Paraguay. What can I see in this big Argentina team?? Well… this is NOT a team…

At first, everything seemed WRONG. The annoying rain. Riquelme’s free kick smashing the crossbar. Heinze BIG BIG HUUUUUGE mistake allowing an own goal and the goalkeeper injury. And Carlos Tevez being sent off.
In the second half, Argentina had to play with 10 men only. Basile’s changing Di Maria (playing fairly good) by Kun Agüero was good. And removing Heinze from the team was kind of good. Because the player admitted his huge mistake but was kind of angry with the coach. Cata Diaz replacing him did a good job!

But…

This group of people is just THAT. Players gathered together. Current coach Alfio “Coco” Basile is careless!! He doents seem able to manage a TEAM of SUPER STARS PLAYERS!!! DAMN!! I’m starting to become FURIOUS with him! Even though Boca Juniors won a lot of things with him in charge.

Riquelme missed many passes. I know that. But he built a WALL with Messi, who served Agüero to score! Riquelme + Messi + Tevez = … Still nothing… They 3 are all EXCELLENT players! Why do they not work well together????

There was no team. There were players trying to do their best by their own…

Why Cuchu Cambiasso is still on the team? He doesnt seem to fit in it anymore. After the match, he told the press “people go home satisfied with the final result…” AM I SATISFIED??? HELL NO!

Let’s see if Alfio Basile finds the team in the road to World Cup… I hope so…
